The NKD-Group Data Center
Description
The NKD-Group data center (Center) is a purpose-built computing and data infrastructure that supports secure, resilient, and largely autonomous research, analytics, and digital-production operations. Multiple proprietary AI agents continuously monitor, manage, and control core systems, helping coordinate computational tasks, assess operational conditions, and maintain service availability with limited routine intervention.
The facility comprises multiple AMD-powered servers that support computationally intensive workloads, optimization and statistical applications, graphics-generation software, and API-based connections to large language models. The Center maintains direct, secure connections to market-data sources. These sources include the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’s FRED database, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), and multiple derivatives-market data providers—support timely acquisition, analysis, and integration of financial and economic information.
Its architecture integrates compute and storage resources with network connectivity, environmental controls, cybersecurity measures, physical safeguards, and redundant recovery capabilities. Secure data housing, combined with redundant off-site backup systems, supports the confidentiality, availability, integrity, and long-term preservation of data and computational outputs. Conventional electrical infrastructure is supplemented by solar power, improving operational resilience, reducing dependence on grid electricity, and supporting continuity during utility disruptions.
